Well been in beta now for a few months and I have to tell you, unlike AoC, this game is pretty polished. Plus really liking the variety of the classes (it makes me wonder which side will see the bigger influx of players). On the whole, pretty polished and pretty stable.
Been spending most of my time playing the Chaos side, and mostly oscillating between the two classes I will most likely play at release: Chosen and Shaman. Both play their roles well, although the Shaman clearly will take some getting used to for some folks as its not really a straight blaster or healer, as you really have to mix it up to reach optimal efficiency (which I like). Even in beta, it kind of still surprises me to see some folks whining about how Shaman damage or healing is sub-par (its actually not, when the class is played correctly). Played only a little bit of the Black Orc, but I have to say I so love the look of Orcs in this game so much more than in WoW. They just seem more brutish that it really makes them just right I think. And for folks who don't know (since this question has been asked A LOT), there are no females versions of Greenskins as the Greenskins are really fungoid beings who are asexual.
I'm going to try to force myself to play some more Order classes before launch as I want to have a good overall feel and flavor for both sides. |

They just had their preview weekend and a friend let me mess around on his beta account since his computer couldn't handle it but it gotta say it's fairly well made, the PvP content is pretty awesome, especially the world PvP. I stayed on the Order side even tho I should have weighed out my options a bit and try out chaos, but after I created my Shadow Warrior I just couldn't try another class lol...it was pretty fun. I just might have to try it out when it goes live. _________________

I've been in the beta also for a few months and just stopped playing it a week or so ago. I've tried most of the classes and even leveled up my Witchhunter up pretty far. But it seemed "boring" to me. Go here, gather this, fight this, run to this, etc. The PvP wasn't too bad, but it could of been better. The class balance seemed worse than WoW in some cases.
One of the few things I did enjoy were the public quests with the different stages of progress. That was something new that seemed like a good idea.
I guess if youre more of a PvPer it would suit you a lot better than if you enjoy PvE.
I may pick up eventually. But for now I cancelled my Collector's Edition. _________________
